McNamara updates on Langi’s condition

Catalans Dragons head coach Steve McNamara confirmed that Samisoni Langi went straight to the hospital after being carried on a stretcher during the Golden Point win over St Helens.

Langi was the victim of a high tackle by Saints forward Agnatius Paasi in the final stages of the first half overtime.

The Catalan center stood still for a long time before being taken on a stretcher.

McNamara said: “He’s not great at all. We’re pretty worried. He went straight to the hospital.

“We were supposed to be back tonight, but now we have some logistical problems, but we will make sure that you have the utmost care and attention.

“Let’s hope it’s not too serious. But it doesn’t look like he’ll be back with us tonight. “
